Yes, with at least 2 years of experience.Required years of experience: 1 yearPatient Types:General medical patients (pneumonia, acute kidney injury, renal failure, bowel obstruction, etc) All post-operative medical status patients, all medical level trauma patientsTotal joints: knees, hips, shoulders (required experience)Back surgeries (Back Surgeon operating on Tues/Wed) Spinal fusions (anterior and posterior approach)Trauma: fractures femurPatient Ratios:Day shift 1:4-5Night shift 1:6Required Licensure Certifications:BLSTele Exam required? NoSkills required:Experience with orthopedic patients is required. CPAP, Bipap w/support of RT. Experience with post-op patients is required. Wound vacs, JP/Hemovacs, SCDs, experience heparin drips, protonix, octreotide drips (standard protocol, titrate per lab orders)Support on the Unit:CNA: 1:6-7 on day shift, 1:8-9 on night shiftReceptionist/HUC: 7am-7pm- NOC shift has one house secretary for the houseCharge nurse: yes, limited patient assignmentPhlebotomy: yes all dayIV/VAT Team: Yes Wound Care: Monday Friday during the day.Resource Nurse: when staffing allows.RT: yes, all dayHospitalist: yes, 24/7 in houseTelemetry monitoring: Remote onlyAre RNs required to read/measure tele strips?
