• Weekly Gross: $2,730.00 Per Week
• On W2(Taxable): $840.00 Per Week ($21/hour)
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,890.00 Per Week Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab at UT Health Tyler Hospital will be responsible for providing care and support to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The RN will be expected to assist in various roles, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during catheterization and other related procedures. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and patient safety. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct care to patients in the Cath Lab, assisting with procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional cardiology procedures.
• Assist in preparation of the Cath Lab by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for use.
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor patients during procedures (scrub experience preferred).
• Respond to emergency situations within the Cath Lab with quick, decisive actions to ensure patient safety.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information, including pre-procedure assessments, procedures performed, and post-procedure care.
• Participate in on-call rotation, covering about every 3rd day and 3rd weekend.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team including cardiologists, radiologists, and support staff to provide exceptional care to patients.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Required Certifications, Skills & Experience:
• Active RN License in the state of Texas or Compact.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab.
• Scrub experience required; preference for candidates who can also circulate and monitor during procedures.
• Experience with Epic and Xper (preferred but not required).
