- Day Shift 4x12-Hour (09:00 AM - 09:00 PM)
- Night Shift 4x12 Hours 19:00 7:30
Schedule: Variable weekdays & weekends (same as unit staff)
Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours (candidate's choice)
Float Requirement: Yes
Call Requirement: No
Compensation for 48 hours: $2686 Per Week
- Compensation for 48 hours: $2688 Per Week
- Compensation for 40 hours:
- Weekly Gross: $2,180.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($18/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,460.00 Per Week
- For rest OT 8 hours: $508 ($63.5/hour)
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients on a general medical-surgical unit. This position is ideal for nurses with a solid foundation in med/surg and telemetry care, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role involves caring for adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions, including those requiring remote telemetry monitoring (non-cardiac drips).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population with acute and chronic medical conditions, adhering to established clinical protocols and individualized patient plans.
- Manage and monitor stable patients with remote telemetry needs. Collaborate with cardiac and interdisciplinary teams to assess any changes in patient condition.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care, communicate changes, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely manner to ensure compliance with hospital, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Flexibly float to other units as needed based on facility needs, while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Requirements:
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - State of Kansas or compact state
- Certifications: ACLS required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- First-time travelers welcome
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and time management skills
- Comfort with telemetry monitoring (no cardiac drips)
- Ability to float and adapt to a variety of care situations
