WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Room (ED) Nurse for a contract opportunity at a highly regarded hospital in Syracuse, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,016 per week for this role.
Job Function
- Night Shift.
- 7pm - 7 am.
Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening conditions that require complex assessments, high-intensity therapies, and critical interventions.
Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families throughout their Emergency Room experience.
Maintain close communication with all members of the healthcare team and independently recognize when early intervention is necessary.
Prepare patients for surgery or diagnostic procedures.
Perform a wide range of medical procedures, including IV insertion, intubation, medication administration, and blood draws.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN license for the state of New York.
- 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience is required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
