Job Details - Position / Specialty: Med Surg RN
- Shift: 3x12 Days
- Average Daily Census: 21. 1:5 ratios for days, nights, and weekends.
- Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience required.
- First-timers accepted: Yes.
- Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend.
- Is on-call REQ? No.
- Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes- will float as needed to other MedSurg and like units.
- Open to accommodating block schedule? Cannot contract to block scheduling but typically can schedule colleagues 3 in a row. Discuss schedule requests with manager.
- Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.
- Pending License accepted: No- must have active IL license to apply.
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.
Job Requirements - Med/Surg experience required.
- Preferred Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
- Preferred Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post Angiogram, Post MI.
- Preferred Endocrine /Metabolic Case Skills/Experience: IV insulin protocols.
- Preferred Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management.
- Preferred Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.
- Preferred IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
- Preferred Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA.
- Preferred Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery.
- Ortho trauma experience preferred.
- Surgical drain experience preferred.
- Preferred Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank.
- Preferred Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Level I Trauma experience preferred.

- Badge photo required within a week of signing. This is due no later than Monday before start.

- 9-Panel drug screen required within 30 days of start.
- Flu Vaccine or approved Medical/Religious Exemption required October 1 - April 1.
- Background Check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
