Job Title: RN Medsurg Location: 1555 Long Pond Rd Rochester, NY Duration: 3 months Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Blended rate: $67.78 Hourly on W2: $25 Hourly on Stipends: $42.78 Weekly Taxable: $900 Weekly Non-Taxable: $1540 Weekly Gross: $2440 Sign on bonus $1000 Job Description:
• Assess and monitor patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team on care plans.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other bedside procedures.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and emergencies.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patient needs. Patient Ratios:
• Days & Evenings: 5:1
• Nights: 6-7:1 Support Staff:
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available on all units: assist with vitals, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and ADLs
• In-house phlebotomy team handles all peripheral lab draws
• Nurses are responsible for PICC lines and central lines Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications: BLS required
• Telemetry: Required
• EMR: Epic preferred (required for first-time U.S. travelers) Additional Details:
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Yes - within scope and between like units only
• Block scheduling: Requests will be considered but not guaranteed
• Local candidates: Not accepted (must live more than 75 miles away)
• Pending license: Not accepted
