The Intermediate Care patients are any surgical or neuro/neurosurgical patients as well as trauma and any patients needing higher level of care between unit level and ICU. Vascular Surgery Step Down Unit that cares for patients that have undergone vascular surgery such as carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass grafts, amputations and other surgical services. Additionally, this unit functions as overflow for the MSDU and ventilator/high respiratory need patients.
