Shift: 3x12-Hour Day Shifts (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Compensation for 40 hours:
- Weekly Gross: $2,603.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,883.00 Per Week
Position Summary:
Rochester General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide direct care in the surgical setting, collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes in a tertiary care hospital environment. First-time travelers are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments and assist in surgeries across multiple specialties.
- Ensure proper documentation and use of electronic charting (Epic).
- Participate in pre-op and post-op patient care and education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for high-quality patient outcomes.
- Comply with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- May float to other units within scope as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year recent OR RN experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active New York RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Floating: Required, within scope of practice
- Charting System: Epic (experience preferred, but not required)
- Return Policy: Former staff may return after 1 year
No Local Candidates: Must reside 75+ miles from facility Travel Pairs: Accepted
