What You'll Do:
As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in the operating room, you'll play an essential role in ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. Working closely with the surgeon and healthcare team, you'll provide expert support throughout the perioperative experience, particularly during the operative phase of surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to perform safe and effective surgeries using the Da Vinci robotic system.
- Utilize your expertise in perioperative nursing to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- If not in the RNFA role, you'll step into the role of an OR staff RN, with both scrub and circulating duties.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed, including on-call, holiday shifts, and charge nurse duties per unit needs.
We're Looking for Someone Who: - Holds an active RN License in New York.
- Has completed an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program.
- Possesses Da Vinci Robotics Experience across specialties such as:
- Urology
- GYN
- Colorectal
- Surgical Oncology
- Thoracic
- General Surgery (gallbladders, appendectomies, etc.)
- Is CNOR certified (Certified Nurse Operating Room) - Required.
- Has 2+ years of OR experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Holds BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS preferred). Why You Should Apply:
