CCI is currently seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Operating Room (OR) unit contract opportunity. Two years experience required.
Pittsfield, MA.- $2200.00 - $2500 per week, Net take home. Paid Weekly. (based on exp)
- First Day Health/Dental/Vision Benefits through UHC.
- 8-Hours Unpaid Orientation) Non-negotiable
- Schedule/Hours - 8hr days (7a-3.30p) 40hr guarantee
- Must have MA License (not in a pending status)
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- General, Ortho, Neuro, Urology, Vascular and Bariatric Surgical experience required
Position Summary: The role of the perioperative nurse or operating room (OR) nurse is to provide care for patients before, during and after surgery. OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. An operating nurse also acts as a liaison between the patient, the patient's relatives and the medical team.
Responsibilities: - Assessing patients prior to surgery and alleviating their concerns
- Gathering all supplies needed for the operation
- Assuming responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilized
- Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
- Gather all supplies needed for the operation

- Position and prepare patient on operating table
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
- Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
- Adhere to safety standards and precautions
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
Requirements:- Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
- Outstanding organizational ability
- A great team player with excellent communication skills
- Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- Minimum of two (2) years OR experience
