Position Description: General job duties. Types of procedures required. Perform dialysis procedures including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Plasmapheresis treatments performance preferred but not required. Oversee the treatments performed by hemodialysis techs and assist in trouble shooting. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Epic charting hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis machines. Required skills and minimum years of experience. At least one year dialysis experience. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS Shift or schedule requirements. Saturday work required, no call hours. Employee may perform 1:1 treatments outside the dialysis unit but there will be other employees available Floating to other units/departments. Some off unit hemodialysis treatments may be assigned. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. HDU is a 9 bed treatment area. There will be a charge nurse, a RN, and 4-5 technicians on unit from daily. Dress Code: Scrubs
