Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular RN for a night shift position on a dynamic, mixed cardiovascular unit. This 24-bed floor includes 12 Step-Down and 12 Med-Surg beds, offering a fast-paced environment with a diverse cardiac patient population. The ideal candidate will bring strong step-down and cardiac experience, along with a team-focused approach to care.
Unit Details:
- Mixed Cardiovascular Unit: 24 beds
- 12 Step-Down / 12 Med-Surg
- Patient population includes post-cardiac procedure patients, telemetry, rhythm monitoring, and complex cardiovascular care
- Collaboration with Cardiac Rehab, Education, and Discharge Planning
- Responsibilities may include EKG interpretation and continuous rhythm/rate monitoring
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate care for assigned cardiovascular patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKGs
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, and cardiac medications as prescribed
- Document interventions and patient responses in the EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge processes
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience - REQUIRED
- Recent cardiac step-down unit experience - REQUIRED
- Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing - REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing - PREFERRED
- Licensure:
- Active RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact (eNLC) - REQUIRED
- Certifications:
- BLS - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- ACLS - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and telemetry care
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Basic computer literacy, including EMR documentation

- Schedule: 36 hours/week - Night shift with weekend rotation
