Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM + Every Other Weekend & Holidays
Pay: $2,415 /Weekly Gross
Department: Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit
Contract: 3 months (possible extension)
Skills:
- NYS RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Required)
- 2 years of cardiology, telemetry, or VAD experience (Required)
- EPIC experience (Highly preferred)
- 1 year of travel experience for Travel positions (Preferred; not required for Per Diem)
Education:
- BSN preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience or active enrollment in BSN program
Duties:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to stepdown patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex cardiac patients
- Provide patient and family education on condition management and discharge planning
- Utilize relationship-centered care models and contribute to quality and safety initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement and performance review efforts
- Lead or assist with charge nurse duties as needed
- Contribute to professional development, mentoring, and a positive clinical environment
- Perform hourly rounding, support patient throughput, and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital documentation standards
Night shift, 7:00 pm- 7:30am + EOW & holidays
