Role: Oncology RN Location: Nashville, Tennessee Shift: 06:45 PM-07:15 AM (3x12 Nights) Unit Information: Unit Capacity: 24 Beds, one lead lined room suitable for radiation isolation Population Served: Patients with the following diagnosis: Solid tumors (most frequently lung, breast, colon)/Leukemia, Lymphomas, Myeloma/Gynecologic malignancies (primarily ovarian and cervical)/Cancer symptom management/Febrile Neutropenia/Uncontrolled pain/Sickle Cell Anemia/Hematologic diseases/Post operative Mastectomy/Post operative Gynecological Oncology/Med/Surg overflow Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+) Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:6 Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OCN certification is strongly encouraged Minimum Requirements: Current 2 years of current Oncology RN experience Current Tennessee RN License Current AHA BLS Current OCN Certification strongly encouraged Skills Checklist from within the past 12 months Drivers License EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used) Final RTO or any scheduling requests Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
