Position Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN - Oncology for travel assignments. This role focuses on providing specialized care to cancer patients, including administering chemotherapy, monitoring treatment progress, and offering emotional support. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in oncology care.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on cancer treatments, side effects, and symptom management.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform central line care, blood transfusions, and pain management.
- Maintain detailed patient records and follow oncology protocols.
- Travel to various hospitals and cancer centers for temporary assignments.
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in oncology nursing.
- Certifications: BLS and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient advocacy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and assist patients.
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.
