We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for a Day Shift (3x12 hours) contract position in West Hollywood, California. This 13-week opportunity is ideal for an experienced CVOR nurse who thrives in a high-acuity surgical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.

Role Overview:
As a CVOR RN, you will play a vital role in cardiovascular surgical procedures, collaborating with top surgeons and surgical teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. You will provide direct patient care during complex surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of sterility, safety, and surgical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Circulation Duties:
- Circulate during a variety of open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, heart valve replacements, robotic mitral valve repairs (MVR), aortic dissections, heart and lung transplants, and lead extractions.
- Ensure optimal patient positioning, surgical site preparation, and sterile field maintenance throughout procedures.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to ensure safe and efficient case progression.
Pre- and Post-Operative Care:
- Conduct pre-operative checks and patient preparation to meet surgical requirements.
- Monitor patient safety and surgical environment during procedures.
- Assist with post-operative patient transfer and documentation.
Critical Skills:
- Anticipate surgical needs and respond quickly to dynamic intraoperative situations.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Strong ability to work in high-pressure trauma environments, with Level I trauma experience highly preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN License (No pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred
- Must have experience circulating in CVOR surgeries
- Experience with complex cardiovascular cases highly preferred
Additional Details:
- Ratios: 1:1
- On-Call: Required - 2 (12-hour) on-call shifts within a 6-week period (based on department needs)
- Weekend Requirement: 3-4 shifts per 6 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Scheduling: No block scheduling available
- Local Candidates: Accepted
