Unit Information: o Beds: 10 LDRP, 2 OBs, 2 Triage Census? Average patients/day? 7 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years LDRP exp o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if necessary Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Labor, Triage, Postpartum, Newborn Patient Ratios: o RN: Use AWHONN Staffing Guidelines: 1:2 Inactive labor; 1:1 Active Labor; 1:3-4 Couplets Required Licensure & Certifications: o BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM Skills required: o Labor and Delivery Nurse skills - labor management, circulate cesarean sections, Pre-op, PACU, triage, resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management o Ability and willingness to work LDRP setting Support within the Department: o Scrub tech: set up delivery trays, assist with sections, stock OR, Clean OR, help with charges, equipment cleaning, newborn baths o Receptionist/HUC? No o Charge nurse? Yes o Phlebotomy: Nurses as well as lab draw blood o IV/VAT Team? NA o Resource Nurse? No o RT, 24/7 o OB MD o Anesthesia/CRNA team o Telemetry monitoring: Monitor/recover sections in room unless under general anesthesia Technology/Equipment: o EMR: Epic o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Monitors: Phillips o Unit specific equipment: bladder scanner, IV pumps, fetal monitoring, HUGGS system Floating: o Within region and scope of practice o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental Other notes: o Scrub Color: Scrubs provided o Parking: Free o Unit Culture: positive culture, family oriented
