Job Description: Registered/Charge Nurse - Hospice Position: Registered Nurse - Hospice Location: Scotland Memorial Hospital, Inpatient Hospice - Morrison Manor Department: Hospice Inpatient Unit - Morrison Manor Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour, 08:00 - 17:00) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Compensation and Benefits:
• Weekly Gross: $2,431.00 Per Week
• On W2(Taxable): $800.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,631.00 Per Week Job Overview: Scotland Memorial Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse for an inpatient hospice position at the Morrison Manor Hospice Facility. This role will involve charge nurse responsibilities, assisting with daily operations, and providing support for staffing and scheduling needs. The ideal candidate should have previous hospice and charge nurse experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as Charge Nurse as scheduled, providing leadership and support for the nursing team in the inpatient hospice unit.
• Assist with day-to-day administrative duties, including scheduling and staffing.
• Provide backup staffing as needed and ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
• Deliver compassionate and high-quality care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting.
• Help coordinate care for patients and families, ensuring comfort and dignity during end-of-life care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document using the EPIC system (strongly preferred).
• Float within the hospital as needed. Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospice or palliative care, with charge nurse experience preferred.
• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state or compact state at the time of submission.
• BLS Certification: Required.
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred but not mandatory.
• Shift: Must be available for day shifts (08:00 - 17:00) Monday to Friday, and every other weekend.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only).
• EPIC Experience: Preferred, particularly for ER roles (please indicate your last facility with EPIC usage). Hospital Details:
