We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU for a 13-week contract in Laconia, NH. This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to deliver critical care nursing in a high-acuity environment, providing life-saving interventions for patients in the ICU.
Contract Details:
Position: ICU RN
Location: Laconia, NH
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shifts: Nights, 3x12 hours
Local Rate: Available for candidates located within 50 miles of Laconia
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, high-quality care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including those with cardiovascular conditions, trauma, and post-operative care.
- Manage complex medical equipment such as Balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, and Artic Sun or TTM management.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective care.
- Respond quickly and effectively to changing clinical conditions, escalating care as necessary.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system (Cerner preferred, but not required).
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience. Candidates with CVICU experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: Active NH or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS required. TNCC, PALS, and CCRN preferred.
- Floating: Willingness to float to other units, including ED (not just ICU holds), Stepdown, and Med Surg with a modified assignment.
- EMR Experience: Cerner experience preferred but not required.
- References: 2 recent references from charge nurses or nurse managers in the ICU specialty.
- Drivers License: Must have a valid driver's license with an address matching demographics.
