Job Details - Centerpoint Medical Center - Independence
- Facility Overview: Centerpoint Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health, a network of hospitals in the Kansas City and surrounding areas. Our campus includes the medical center itself and a medical office building/outpatient services center connected to the hospital (on the west side of the hospital).

Job Requirements - REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS
- Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
- Management of vasoactive drips
Schedule Information - FT Staff: 36 hours/week with every 3rd weekend rotation
- PT staff: 48 hours/week with every 3rd weekend rotation
- PRN 1 Staff: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement
- PRN 2 Staff: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements
- Rotating holiday schedule
Unit Specific Information - Unit: Progressive Care Unit
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 AM or 1:4 PM, 1:5 PM (with patient care techs)
- Unit staffing description: Typically, total RN based care with no techs unless stretched. Secretaries are scheduled 7am-7pm in the PCU and are available for a number of resources.
- Type of equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Floating policy: PRN floats 1 time per week, FT/PT staff floats in a rotation based upon dates, bonus shifts always float first
- Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds.
