ASAP Start Date Important-Cath/IR lab functions with 3 person team which will require RN to be responsible to provide procedural sedation and hemodynamic monitoring. Hemodynamic monitoring is located outside of main procedure room in the control room. Control room includes a window so patient remains visible but will require nurse to float between procedure room and control room. Please verify your clinician is comfortable with this process. Will work 8 hour shifts but weekly GTE will be 36 hours instead of 40 which allows for some minor flexing if needed by the department Unit: Cath Lab and IR suites/labs: 3 suites per day on average: 8-10 cases per day Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS ACLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Mixed lab so will see both Cath Lab and IR procedures to include some of the following: L & R heart cath (interventional and diagnostic), EP studies, pacers, defibrillators, etc. IR procedures- PICC line placement, central lines, Swans, pleurovacs, stroke intervention, etc. Job Duties: Procedure set up, circulate procedure, administer sedation, monitor patient throughout the procedure, responsible for hemodynamic monitoring. Important to note Cath/IR lab functions with 3 person team which will require RN to be responsible to provide procedural sedation and hemodynamic monitoring. Hemodynamic monitoring is located outside of main procedure room in the control room. Control room includes a window so patient remains visible but will require nurse to float between procedure room and control room. Please verify traveler is comfortable with this process. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Mixed lab so will need Cath lab and IR experience to be successful. Must have 2 years previous experience. Prior travel experience preferred. EMR/Equipment: Cerner Cardiologist hours/on call and Interventionalist hours/on call: 24 hour call Cardiologists Manager/Charge Nurse: Cath Lab Manager and Charge Nurse Cath Lab and IR Techs: Yes Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 630a-5p. Call team will cover after shift ends if needed Weeknight/Call Requirements: Evening call is required 1-2 times per week. Call starts after normal day shift ends (about 5pm) Weekend/Call Requirements: 1-2 weekends per month (630a-630a) 24 hour call Holiday/Call Requirements: 1 major and 1 minor What is call response time?: 30 min Floating Requirements: None Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided Unit/Department specific orientation: Up to 2 weeks with another RN, will not add into call rotation until 3rd week.
