Job Title: Registered Nurse- Operating Room
Location: Espanola, NM 87532
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days 8hrs or 10hrs shifts. Start time 0630
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly

Call requirement for weekends evenings and Holidays.


Qualifications:
Required BLS
RN NM or Compact State License
2 years of current experience required in large OR.

Candidate must be able to scrub.

RN will need to function in the Charge capacity and should have ample charge experience.

Job Summary: -Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. -Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. -Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. -Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. -Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. -Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. -Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. -Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. -Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. RN will take on a Charge RN role often and should have ample charge experience.
