We are hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion for an Outpatient Oncology Clinic in Duarte, CA. This is a 13-week contract with an excellent opportunity to deliver specialized cancer care in a supportive and high-quality clinical environment.

Shift: Days, 4x10 hours
Role Overview:
The Infusion RN will administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments to outpatient oncology patients while providing compassionate education and emotional support. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary oncology team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely administer chemotherapy via IV push, continuous infusion, oral, and port access.
- Manage infusion pumps, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted ports.
- Monitor and manage side effects, including extravasation, anaphylaxis, ATLS, and neutropenic precautions.
- Perform phlebotomy, start IVs, and manage fluid/hydration therapy.
- Educate patients and families on chemotherapy regimens, side effect management, and self-care strategies.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal lab values and critical symptoms, escalating care as needed.
- Handle cytotoxic spills and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate using SBAR communication and maintain timely, accurate documentation in EPIC.
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN License
- BLS Certification (AHA only - no HeartCode)
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Infusion Center and Outpatient Oncology nursing experience (3 years preferred)
- Proficient in chemotherapy administration and post-chemotherapy body fluid handling
- Strong skills in patient/family education, IV therapy, and emergency response to infusion-related complications
Preferred Experience:
- Care of patients with diverse cancers (e.g., breast, lung, leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, GI cancers, brain cancers)
- Administration of coagulation factors
- Experience with EPIC charting
- Familiarity with SBAR communication framework

- No on-call requirements
- Weekend shifts and floating required based on facility needs
- First-time travelers are welcome
