Registered Nurse - Intensive Care - ICU - Travel - (ICU RN)
StartDate: 7/1/2025 Available Shifts: 12 D Pay Rate: $1568.05 - $1728.05

Holiday Requirements 75% of holidays required Floating Requirements Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises JOB DESCRIPTION RN - ICU ? About Facility: o Address: Cornelius - 1130 Tree of Life Lane, Cornelius, NC 28031 o 33 Beds o No Trauma Designation o Not a Teaching Hospital o Not a Chest Pain Center o Not currently Stroke accredited o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ? Unit Information: o Beds: 4 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years ICU RN o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Not preferred but will accept with strong experience ? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Can see any diagnosis except Cardiac Surgical - Sepsis, ARDS, GI Bleeds, DKA, Cardiac Arrest, Withdrawal, Renal Failure, etc. ? Patient Ratios: o RN: 1:1-2 ? Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Resource Team requirements ? Skills required: o General ICU skillset: Critical care gtts experience - insulin, vasopressors, sedation, management of invasive lines (ART/CVP), Cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, ventilator management, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc. ? Support within the Department: o CNA - Assist with turning, feeding, ADL's, blood sugars, lab draws, mobility o No HUC/Receptionist o Charge nurse, 24/7 o Phlebotomy - RN will be responsible; there is one person in the hospital that could be called upon o IV/VAT Team o RT, 24/7 o Hospitalist, 24/7 o Intensivist, 9a-11a; VCC Coverage for other hours ? Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Omnicell o Unit specific equipment: telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, translator on a stick, virtual cart for rounding with MD's, Stroke Cart ? Floating: o Within region and scope of practice o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable ? Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises ? If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) ? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental ? Scheduling: o Standardized for Resource Team - o Weekend rotation: every other o No call o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Schedule cycle: every 6weeks ?
