Compensation:
- Weekly Gross: $2,260.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,540.00 Per Week
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the MICU team at James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, part of Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This is a night shift travel assignment for RNs with strong critical care and oncology experience.
Patient Population:
- Adult and geriatric patients
- High-acuity, oncology-focused MICU population
Common Diagnoses Include:
- Oncologic emergencies
- ARDS
- COPD
- Pneumonia
- GI bleeds
- Neuromuscular diseases
- Drug overdose
- Sepsis
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Autoimmune disorders
- Complications related to cancer treatment
Common Procedures and Treatments:
- Mechanical ventilation
- Pulmonary artery catheter placement
- CRRT
- Arterial pressure monitoring
- Central venous catheter insertion
- Cardiac monitoring
- Chemotherapy administration
- Chest tube management
- Complex medication regimens
- Plasmapheresis
- Clinical trials involvement
- Bronchoscopy & endoscopy
Required Skills:
- Ventilator management
- IV insertion
- Experience with EPIC charting system (Required)
Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
Licensure Requirements: Valid Compact RN license or Ohio RN license.
