Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift:
- Day Shift - 5x8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday)
- Time: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- No weekends
- No call required
Compensation:
- Weekly Gross: $2,235.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $800.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,435.00 Per Week
Position Summary:
The Oncology RN will work within the Genitourinary (GU)/Urology Clinic at James Cancer Hospital, a premier academic and research facility. This role involves providing patient-centered care to individuals receiving treatment for genitourinary cancers such as prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancer. The RN will coordinate outpatient care, assist with procedures, patient education, and ensure continuity of care through collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care and education to oncology patients receiving treatment in the GU/Uro outpatient clinic.
- Administer medications and treatments following clinical protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, perform assessments, and report significant changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurse navigators, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR.
- Follow all facility protocols, policies, and infection control guidelines.
- Support cancer patients and their families with empathy, professionalism, and clinical expertise.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of submission
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience (Oncology preferred)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program

Fingerprinting: Mandatory and urgent fingerprinting required as soon as the contract is signed. Out-of-state travelers will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet. Delays in this process can result in push or cancellation of assignment. RTO Policy: Maximum of 7 days RTO (Requested Time Off) must be declared with submission and built into the contract.
