Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR 48 HOURS ONLY REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years Experience Required. Traveler Experience: Unit DOES NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias and EKG Rhythms MUST HAVE CARDIAC DRIP EXPERIENCE, DO NOT SEND AS A SCREEN IF NOT Charge Nurse requirements as needed Certs: ACLS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Skills: Cardiac Procedures JOB DETAILS: RATIOS: 1:5-6 max, Daily Census: 28 (30 rooms). SHIFT: 48 hours ONLY Can Be Offered. If Accepting 48 Hours, No OT billed until after 48 Hours Will Accept 13 Weeks. 12 HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15 Float Requirement: FLOAT REQUIRED: other med surg areas if needed. Also could float to other cardiac units with an appropriate assignment. Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Cardiac Telemetry. Patient's pre cardiac, peripheral or renal interventional procedure (ie: PTCA, Coronary Atherectomy, Rotablator, Coronary Artery Stent, PTA, PFO closure).Pre &/or post Electrophysiology lab procedures (pacemaker implantation, pacemaker battery change, electrophysiology studies, implanted cardioverter/defibrillators, and tilt table).Pre &/or Post diagnostic cardiac catheterization with vascular closure devices or TR bands without intervention. NSTEMI/AMI. Heart Failure. UNIT DETAILS: We are a Cardiac Telemetry unit with Med/Surg patients that more often than not experience CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). We service a very high population of CHF patients that have comorbidities. SPECIAL PROCEDURES: Bedside cardio-version can occur with EP MD at bedside. We do cardiac drips and medication that require frequent vital sign monitoring but we do not titrate up without an MD order. We have found that candidates with previous cardiac step down/post procedure experience are most successful in a travel assignment on this unit. The unit is very fast pace with quick decompensation for our patients if not monitored carefully. Cardiac telemetry/cardiac progressive care UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Based on Unit Needs 48 HOURS ONLY SCRUBS: Any combination of Navy & or White INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting candidates to avoid holding up the approval process.
