We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week contract assignment in Chanute, Kansas. This opportunity is ideal for an L&D nurse passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a supportive hospital environment.
Contract Details:
Position: RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Location: Chanute, KS
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours
Role Overview:
As an L&D RN, you will manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries, perform postpartum care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and positive birth experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
- Administer medications and manage IVs
- Document care accurately and promptly
Qualifications:
- Active KS or Compact RN License
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent L&D experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP (required)
- Strong critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
