Type of staff:
o Day Shift - 1 Charge/ CNC; 4-5 RNs/LPNs, 2-3 NAs
o Night Shift - 1 Charge/ CNC; 4-5 RNs/LPNs, 2-3 NAs
Patient Ratios - SD/ICU 2-4:1; Med-Surg: 5-6:1; 2-3 PCT on floor as appropriate
Type of equipment - IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, Lift equipment as appropriate, Pyxis (nurses only)
EMR -Cerner

Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have
All RNs must have BLS, ACLS completed prior to end of orientation
PCT/NAs are required to have BLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
RNs with ICU/Stepdown experience
Staff with 1 year med/surg experience is preferred

IV starts , CVL, Arterial lines
Foley catheters
EKG monitoring
Wound care

Acute Care utilizes a Team-Based Care model. All care providers, from MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist and PT/OT meet daily to discuss patient/care/treatments and discharge needs.
Weekends and On call
Weekend rotation, 3 Monday and Friday per 6 week scheduling . Holidays per staffing matrix.
