1. Shift & Schedule Details: The position requires a 12-hour shift, with a 36-hour workweek. The schedule follows a Day/Evening (D/E) rotation, with 2-3 evening shifts per month and one weekend shift every 3rd weekend. There are no major holiday requirements, but the position includes one on-call shift per schedule period. 2. Required Experience & Skills: Candidates must have at least 2 years of inpatient operating room (OR) experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma setting. The ideal candidate will be competent in scrubbing at least 5 of the listed services (e.g., general surgery, gyn, vascular, ortho, neuro, etc.), with a positive attitude and flexibility to work in different specialties within surgical services. 3. Department Overview: The department includes a wide range of specialties, such as general, gynecological, urological, oral, ENT (ear, nose, throat), bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, thoracic, cardiac, plastic surgery, podiatry, pediatric surgery, trauma, spine surgery, and robotics. The hospital operates 17 ORs and is staffed 24/7, requiring adaptability and excellent communication skills from the staff. 4. Preferred Experience: While not mandatory, experience in neuro and vascular surgery is highly preferred. Additionally, being able to scrub not just in general, gynecology, and urology, but also in other specialties such as neuro and vascular, will give candidates an edge in this position. 5. Certifications & Flexibility: A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. The position may involve floating to other OR campuses, so flexibility in working across different locations and services is necessary. The role demands a high level of competency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
