Req: 822389 Job Details: MS Tele Interim Manager Position Overview: Unit Type: Management Division: Nursing Care Setting: Acute Care Shift Length: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience Required: Minimum 3 years License to Submit: Yes BSN Required: No Orientation Hours: 12 hours Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Shift Schedule: Night shifts with every other weekend (EOW) required; first to float. Unit Details: General Information: Unit Coverage: All Med-Surg Tele Units Number of Beds: 27 Patient Ratios: - 1:5 for Med-Surg patients - 1:4 for Chemo/Tele patients Team Structure: Charting System: Cerner (Required) Charge Nurses: Nurse Shift Managers who do not take patient assignments; a resource nurse is available for support with tasks and breaks. Nurse Aides: Target of 2 aides per shift. Additional Unit Details: Weekend Requirement: One weekend shift every two weeks. Holiday Requirement: 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday. Scrub Color: Navy. Tele Monitoring: Remote with dedicated monitor technicians. Ventilators: None. Hospitalist Coverage: In-house 24/7. IV Team: No dedicated IV team; resource nurse available. Teams available for PICC and midline placements. RT & Pharmacy Availability: Both are staffed 24/7. Call Requirement: None. Floating: Required to other Med-Surg units as needed. Floor-Specific Orientation: One shift for Cerner training (if required) and two shifts on the unit for orientation. Patient Demographics & Common Cases: Common Diagnoses/Procedures: - General Med-Surg (eg, GYN, appendectomies, cholecystectomies). - Orthopedic cases (eg, spine and joint surgeries). - Oncology (7 private suites for patients with an oncology history). - Pediatrics (patients 15 years and older). Exclusions: - No acute strokes or acute cardiac patients. - No drip medications required. Key Requirements & Additional Notes: - Strong central line experience is a must. - Compassionate care with a focus on patient education and meaningful engagement. - Candidates with strong charge nurse experience will be considered.
