Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (GI Lab)
Location: 4501 Bruce B Downs Blvd Wesley Chapel, FL 33544
Shift: Days 5x8-Hour Shifts (06:30 - 15:00)
Call Requirement: Yes - 10 to 15 days per month
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Endoscopy RN to join the Endoscopy/GI team at our acute care facility. The RN will assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage pre- and post-procedure patient care, and participate in a rotating call schedule. This is a fast-paced unit performing a variety of advanced procedures on adult and geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing GI and pulmonary endoscopic procedures.
- Assist in procedures such as EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs, EBUS, and bronchoscopies.
- Prepare patients for procedures, administer sedation, and monitor vital signs throughout.
- Handle post-procedural recovery, assessment, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EHR system.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response as needed.
- Participate in shared call rotation (approximately 10-15 days/month), including after-hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy/GI Lab experience in an acute care setting.
- Previous travel nursing experience is required.
- Current BLS certification (AHA required).
- Cerner charting system proficiency required.
- Strong IV, airway management, and moderate sedation skills.
- Comfortable with a wide range of procedures and endoscopic technologies.
