Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour 17:45 - 06:15) Every 3rd Weekend
Compensation for 36 hours: $2,313 Per Week
- Weekly Gross: $2,313.00 Per Week
- On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
- Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,665.00 Per Week
Position Overview: Seeking a versatile RN to float between a low-volume ER (7 daily visits) and Med-Surg in a critical access hospital. Ideal for nurses who value rural healthcare diversity and can function as a primary ER nurse when assigned. First-time travelers and locals welcome.
Key Responsibilities: - ER Duties: Triage and stabilize patients (abdominal pain, seizures, trauma, psych holds).
- Med-Surg Duties: Manage adult/geriatric patients with acute/chronic conditions.
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, and basic procedures (splinting, wound care).
- Use Cerner EMR (preferred but not required).
- Collaborate with small interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy).
Requirements: Mandatory:
- Active KS or Compact RN license (required at submission).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (PALS/NRP/TNCC preferred but not required).
- 1+ year of ER experience (must be comfortable as primary ER nurse).
- Flexibility to float between ER and Med-Surg.
Compliance:
- COVID/Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- RTO: Submit upfront (max 2 requests).
- 1 Professional Reference (recent supervisor or charge RN).
Facility Details: - Patient Ratio: 1:5 (flexible in low-volume setting).
- Self-Scheduling: Limited block scheduling.
