Job Title: RN Clinical Educator Location: Los Angeles, CA Shift: 8 AM or 7 AM start (5x8 shifts) Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks: 91 Job Description: We are seeking a skilled RN Clinical Educator with perioperative experience to join our team in Southern California, overseeing the AHGL and AHSV locations. This position requires experience in perioperative care, including working in the OR, PACU, Pre-Op, and GI Lab. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating educational programs for the Perioperative departments and managing competencies to ensure high standards of care. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Master's Degree in Nursing: Preferred Perioperative Experience: Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthstream BLS (HS-BLS): Preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Preferred Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate educational programs for the Perioperative departments (OR, PACU, Pre-Op, GI Lab). Educate and train staff in clinical settings and classroom environments. Mentor and coach unit preceptors to foster a supportive learning environment. Coordinate and provide classes, in-services, and competencies for perioperative staff. Collaborate closely with unit leaders to meet department needs and enhance patient care. Help maintain centralized educational tracking systems and ensure accurate record-keeping. Participate in performance improvement efforts based on data and identified needs. Monitor and evaluate clinical issues and provide ongoing staff training to improve patient outcomes. Additional Requirements: Must have experience in perioperative settings (OR, PACU, Pre-Op, GI Lab). Ability to work across multiple locations and collaborate with unit leaders in Southern California.
