Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound clinical judgment, and provides excellent patient care in alignment with our commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and response to treatment.
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the EMR system.
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN license in TN
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience
- BLS and certifications (AHA required)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities efficiently
Current 2 years of current Med Surg RN experience Current TN RN License Current BLS Certifications Additional Certifications may be required Drivers License EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used) Final RTO or any scheduling requests Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
