License to Submit: Yes

Required Certifications:

- ACLS

- BLS

- PALS

- TNCC

Department: ER RN

- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (if the traveler has great ER experience and No TNCC, they will waive that requirement)

- Trauma Level: Stroke and Stemi receiving. Level 2 for adults and peds.

- Beds/Trauma Bays: 35 bed - 2 trauma bays

- Do you have a Fast Track: Yes - 8 bed

- Do you have a separate Triage area: There is a separate area for triage. Travelers can do triage. They use the ESI triage algorithm.

- Do you have a separate holding area in the ER?: Intermixed in the ER.

- Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms: Yes, staffed by ER nurses.

- Is Security in-house 24/7: Yes housed in the ER during the highest volume time.

- On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day: 111 - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:04

- Common diagnoses: Good mix of everything. GSW, violent crime, strokes, stemi, Mental heath. Peds- (respiratory illness, fractures), manage trauma patients. Can work trauma if they have that background.

- Experience: Must have 1 year of recent experience in the specialty- prefer more. Peds experience preferred. Need Travel experience

- Common drips: All critical care drips.

- ED Physician/Mid-Levels: Use both. During busiest times, they can have 2 MD and 3 Midlevels.

- Charge Nurse: Team lead 24/7.

- Nurse aids: LPN on nights, techs, paramedics- do tech duties and IV. Techs and nurses do all blood draws and ekgs.

- Is RT in the ER 24/7?:RT respond to all codes and cover all respiratory tasks, Just not housed in the ER.

- RT Equipment: All- RT handles.

- Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER: ER nurses monitor and read tele stips.

- X-Ray or CT in the ER: Next door. Nurse transports critical patients and all patients after 9pm otherwise transport will take patients from 9a-9p.

- Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw?: RNs/Techs.

- Shifts & Scheduling: Multiple start times- starting 5-9- 12 hours . 6,8,10,12,1,3,6. schedule set by manager. Try to accommodate block.

- Weekend Requirements: Every other.

- Holiday Requirements: Every other.

- Is there call or a standby requirement: No

- Floating Requirements: No

- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue Scrubs.
