Pride Health is hiring a Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist to join the diagnostic imaging team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety, quality imaging, and timely service delivery. The ideal candidate is experienced in fusion imaging and comfortable working in a high-volume hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging studies of various organ systems and vascular structures.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with protocols and safety standards.
- Operate imaging equipment and related technology with a high level of technical expertise.
- Ensure patient safety by applying ALARA principles and performing accurate exposure techniques.
- Assist in transporting patients and maintaining patient comfort throughout procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and departmental standards.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to deliver diagnostic results.
Required Qualifications:
- California DHS License (N) (R)
- ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB Certification
- BLS Certification from American Heart Association (AHA only)
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program (2 years)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital setting performing nuclear medicine procedures including fusion imaging
- Must be capable of patient transportation duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- ARRT (CT) Certification
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or Chinese
Additional Details: Location: Whittier, CA 90602 Schedule: 4x10-Hour Day Shifts (07:00 AM - 5:30 PM) 40 hours/week Contract Length: 13 weeks
