Contract Details:
  • Start Date: Estimated June 8, 2025
  • Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Shift: Evening (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), 5x8s
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required
Compensation (W2):
  • Hourly Taxable Rate: $20.00
  • Weekly Taxable Income: $800.00
  • Weekly Non-Taxable Stipends (Per Diem): $1,700.00
  • Total Weekly Gross Pay: $2,500.00
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent hospital laboratory experience as a CLS or MLS
  • Licensure: Active California CLS/MLS License - Required
  • Specialty Experience: Blood Bank - Required
  • EMR System: Meditech - Experience Preferred
Laboratory Equipment Used:
  • Hematology: Coulter 780
  • Coagulation: Siemens 2500
  • Urinalysis: Beckman Urisys
  • Chemistry: Ortho Vitros 7600
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing across various departments including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and transfusion services
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of laboratory instrumentation listed above
  • Accurately interpret and report test results in accordance with lab standards and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality control, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
