Weekly Gross Pay: $2,966.00
- W2 Taxable Rate: $43.00/hour
- Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246.00

Position Overview:
We are actively hiring an experienced Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to join a top-tier medical facility in Pikeville, KY. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and certified Nuclear Med Tech seeking to deliver exceptional diagnostic imaging services in a patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing nuclear medicine procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring compliance with all radiation safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and administer radioactive isotopes as required.
- Accurately position patients and perform diagnostic imaging for a variety of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Acquire and transmit images to PACS for Radiologist interpretation.
- Complete radiation safety documentation and participate in equipment testing protocols.
- Prepare patients by reviewing questionnaires, verifying medical histories, and ensuring proper procedural understanding.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and expectations.
- Rotate call coverage and coordinate patient scheduling across departments.
- Maintain clean, stocked work areas and demonstrate cost-effective resource use.
- Function as a preceptor for onboarding new staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control, HIPAA, safety, and compliance policies.
- Foster a respectful, dignified, and confidential patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of recent, relevant experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology program
- Certifications:
- NMTCB or ARRT (N) - Required
- Kentucky State Certification - Required
- Skills:
- Proficient in operating Nuclear Medicine equipment
- Familiarity with Siemens software and Keyboard Patient Registration systems
