Job Details - Neuro Trauma ICU RN
- Start Date: Must be 4/28 start
- Shift: 4x12 Nights
- Ratios: 1:2
- Years of Experience REQ: 2 Years ICU experience; at least 1 year perm prior to travel
- Epic Experience REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is required.
- First-Timers Accepted: No, would prefer an experienced traveler with 2-3 prior completed assignments.
- Weekend REQ: must be flexible, scheduled based on unit needs
- Skills REQ: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, IV insulin protocols, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac, and Temp pacers.
- Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, Travelers float between CVICU and NTICU. Also float to Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, Surgical, Ortho/Med) Obs, ED boarding; Float in turns.
- Open to accommodating block schedule? Looking for a flexible candidate.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: GIB, ETOH withdraw, DKA, Sepsis, Covid, ARDS, CHF, CKD, AKI, Donor, Post cardiac arrest, Psychiatric symptoms, MSOF, CVA, ICH. PREFERRED: Nitric Oxide; REQUIRED: temp pacers.
Job Requirements - 2 Years ICU experience; at least 1 year perm prior to travel
- 1 year of Epic experience is required
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS are required
- CCRN, CSC, SCRN and TCRN are preferred
- Valid state licensure/certification as required for services being performed
Schedule Information - 4x12 Nights

Unit Specific Information - Travelers float between CVICU and NTICU. Also float to Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, Surgical, Ortho/Med) Obs, ED boarding; Float in turns.
