Travel Medical Lab Technician

Job Title: Medical Technologist Job Specialty: Laboratory Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour night shifts, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year (New graduates accepted) License: State Licensed Medical Technologist Certifications: ASCP, BLS, Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP Must-Have: Expertise in Microbiology, Serology, Molecular Pathology, Hematology, Immunohematology, Clinical Chemistry Job Description: - Perform laboratory tests and procedures following established guidelines in areas like Microbiology, Serology, Molecular Pathology, Hematology, Immunohematology, and Clinical Chemistry. - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including Sysmex XN 2000, Sysmex CA660, BioMerieux Vidas 3, Siemens EXL, Siemens EXL 200, Nova Prime Plus, Cepheid GenXpert, Ortho Vision, and BioMerieux BactAlert 3D. - Utilize laboratory information systems, specifically Evident (Thrive) CPSI Thrive with auto-verification, for efficient workflow and reporting. - Ensure all laboratory results are precise, accurate, and completed in a timely manner. - Adhere to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. - Participate in weekend rotations with shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and other assigned shifts as needed. - Maintain open communication with all staff members and contribute to a collaborative team environment. - Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functioning of laboratory equipment and accurate test results. - Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to stay current with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques.
