Certification Details - BLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Job Details - Unit will accommodate 1st timers that have 2 years experience
- Patient Diagnoses: Chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries (CEAs, fem-pops), Titration of drips (ex: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, heparin); Sheath pulling at bedside
- Every other holiday
- Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
- Unable to guarantee any specific scheduling requests (ex: block scheduling)
- Special Equipment: Telemetry monitoring, Chest Tubes, PCAs, Epidurals, Wound Vacs
Job Requirements - Current/valid Drivers License/State ID or government photo ID required. Copy must be in color, no black and white copies of document.
- License Verification required within 30 days of start. All candidates must have an active LA License or Compact License upon submission effective immediately. If LA State License or Compact License expires within 30 days of start, renewal must be completed prior to start date.
- NURSYS required within 30 days of start.
Schedule Information - Contract Length: 13 weeks
Additional Details - AHA only. RQI is accepted. Must check Unit Description to determine certifications required. If the UD is blank, please reach out to Program Management team to confirm certifications required. Required for the following specialties: Nursing: Cath Lab, CCU, CVICU, Dialysis, Endoscopy/ GI, ER, ICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Pre-Op, SICU, Transplant
- If certification expires within 30 days of start, renewal must be completed prior to start date.
