Job Title: Mammography Technologist.
Standard shift: Days.
Weekly schedule: 5x8.
Schedule Notes: 8 hours per day/ 40 hours per week.
Weekend Requirements: None
On Call Requirements: None Description:
Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms as ordered by physicians.
Prepare and assist radiologists during complex procedures, including breast biopsies.
Produce high-quality images for accurate interpretation.
Educate patients on procedures while ensuring their privacy, comfort, and safety.
Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Document procedures and obtain necessary patient history and preparation instructions. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology - Required.
Licensing/Certification:
Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) License - Required (in Oregon).
ARRT - Radiography (R) - Required.
ARRT - Mammography (M) - Required in Oregon; Preferred in CA and HI.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required.
Experience:
Experience as a Mammography Technologist - Preferred.
Proficiency in performing breast imaging and assisting in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Demonstrates effective clinical care, decision-making, and technical skills.
