Weekend Requirements: One Weekend a Month/XR (working side by side CT Tech).
On Call Requirements: No Call. Description:
Responsible for producing high quality mammographic images and all special examinations necessary, i.e., needle localizations, radiography of specimens, spot magnifications and stereotactic biopsies.
Responsible for performing quality assurance activities as established by the department and regulatory agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensures operation of mammography equipment by completing preventive maintenance instructions; troubleshooting equipment; calling for service. Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required). Certification Requirements:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) (required).
Current State of Michigan Radiologic Technologist License.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) guidelines. Experience:
2+ Years of experience - Required.
Experience with 3D/tomosynthesis technology.
