Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home care environments. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed for diagnostic testing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in emergency response situations, including basic life support when necessary.
- Assist with specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin treatment when applicable.
Skills
- Experience in various nursing environments, including ICU, hospice care, emergency medicine, outpatient settings, and home care.
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and patient assessment skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and provide age-appropriate care.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Adaptability to travel nursing assignments or varied work locations as needed.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols is a plus.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
