Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in triage processes to prioritize patient care based on urgency.
- Provide patient education on health management and wellness practices.
- Deliver care for patients with specific needs such as dementia care or critical care situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Athenahealth.
- Ensure sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment to prevent infections.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine as needed.
- Support occupational health initiatives by promoting workplace wellness among patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as emergency medicine, critical care, or occupational health.
- Familiarity with ventilating patients and performing sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of patient care protocols, including the ability to assess and manage vital signs effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
