Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients, assisting with their daily needs and ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in various settings.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist in triage processes to prioritize patient care based on urgency.
  • Provide patient education on health management and wellness practices.
  • Deliver care for patients with specific needs such as dementia care or critical care situations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems like Athenahealth.
  • Ensure sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment to prevent infections.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine as needed.
  • Support occupational health initiatives by promoting workplace wellness among patients.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as emergency medicine, critical care, or occupational health.
  • Familiarity with ventilating patients and performing sterile processing techniques is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of patient care protocols, including the ability to assess and manage vital signs effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
