Position Summary:
Our Client is seeking a MRI Tech responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols. The MRI Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients appropriately and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review images for clarity, completeness, and diagnostic quality before submission to radiologists.
- Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging data, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and institutional standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to optimize imaging protocols and support accurate diagnoses.
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: Knowledge of GE and Philips MRI systems
Licensure/Certification: ARRT(MR) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
5 years experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications: Graduate of accredited imaging program. ARRT (MR) cert required, ARRT (R) (MR). 3-5 years of MRI experience preferred, Philips MR experience ED/inpatient/vented patient MRI scans. AHA BLS.
