Assists physicians with performance of interventional radiographic and related procedures for diagnostic interpretation and/or therapeutic interventions. -Responsible for preparation, documentation of inventory of materials, supplies and coding used for interventional radiology services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Progressive responsibility and experience in IR/NIR and or Cath Lab.
- One year of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the operation of interventional radiographic and related diagnostic and therapeutic equipment/supplies.
Required Education:
- Post high school completion of (minimum) a 2-year, approved, program in Radiologic Technology.
Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT registered and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-CI or ARRT-CV or ARRT-VI.
Additional Information:
Experience in vascular IR (TIPS, arterial vascular intervention, vein ablation and sclerotherapy, TVLB), hybrid OR (EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR) Oncology (Therasphere, Sirsphere, TACE, cryoablation, microwave ablation) MSK (vertebroplasty, RF ablation, percutaneous bone screw placement) Non-vascular intervention (PTC/PBD, nephrostomy placements, ureteral stenting, G tube, chest tube, Pleurex) Benefit if candidate is certified in Vascular Interventional Radiology through the ARRT Strong coding and billing knowledge in Interventional Radiology Siemens and Philips imaging system experience Siemens and GE US imaging system experience EPIC / PACS experience Support for vascular IR, Neuro and hybrid OR
