On Call Requirements: On call coverage nights, weekends, holidays. Description:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the interventional radiology (IR) department. Your duties include:
Performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic imaging and therapeutic interventions.
Setting up imaging equipment and ensuring proper positioning of patients for various procedures.
Ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the procedure.
Maintaining equipment functionality and troubleshooting any malfunctions.
Collaborating closely with medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Adhering to system policies, standards of work, and the organization's code of conduct. Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology or a certificate/degree-granting program in a health science. Licensing/Certification:
Required:
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology (CV).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology.
Competency in diagnostic radiology procedures, including patient positioning, radiation protection, and exposure factors.
Knowledge of anatomy and pathology as they relate to imaging procedures.
