Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist supports cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses by performing technical procedures in the Interventional Radiology Lab. This role combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care to ensure safe and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Under physician supervision, the technologist is responsible for patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedural care, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures under physician guidance
- Monitor patient vitals and comfort during procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging and procedural equipment
- Ensure proper documentation and image storage
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the procedure process
- Maintain a safe and sterile work environment
- Mentor and support students or junior staff as needed
Requirements: - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, California Fluoroscopy Permit
- Licensure: Valid California Radiologic Technologist License
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology or related field
